After a disappointing 66-38 loss at Climax, the Hillsboro Burro girls basketball team rebounded with an impressive 55-43 win over Thompson Friday in Hillsboro.

Hillsboro plays at Hatton tonight. The Hatton-Northwood Thunder is one of the better teams in District 3 this year.
It will be an exciting game, Morehart is confident. “In the past, we’ve put up a lot of points.”

Brittany Wilson quarterbacked the Burro win over Thompson.
“She was our only true guard, and I liked the way she handled Thompson’s pressure. Brit likes challenges and she was up for that one.”
Katrina Meyer, meanwhile, “shot lights out” against the Tommies, Morehart said. The 5-foot-10 senior was 4 for 4 from 3 pt. range. She finished with a game-high 16 points.
Ashley Doeden had 14 points Friday. The 6-foot junior made 7 of 10 field goals.
The Burros jumped to a quick and decisive 15-3 lead after the first quarter. Hillsboro led at the half 27-17.
