Hillsboro’s wrestling team ventured across the Red River for a dual with Fertile-Beltrami Friday night.

The Burros claimed a convincing 51-27 win against the Falcons.

With six pins and two forfeits to their credit, the Burros cruised to the victory. For the first time this year, the Burros had a 13-man lineup, just one shy of a full roster. 

After the Christmas break, the Burros will return to action at the Central Cass Lettermen’s Tournament Jan. 3-4. The 20-team individual tournament includes Class B North Dakota teams from Cavalier, Central Cass, Ellendale-Edgeley, Hillsboro, Kindred, LaMoure, Larimore, Lisbon, MayPort-CG, North Border, Oakes, Rolla-Rock Lake, South Border and Velva-Garrison-Max; as well Barnesville, Moorhead and Webster, S.D.; plus junior varsity teams from Fargo South, West Fargo and Frazee, Minn.

Wrestling starts at 5:30 Friday night and 9:30 Saturday morning.
